The blade is made of iron sand and charcoal (carbon). These are full tanged, battle ready, and razor sharp. There is also a matching wakizashi so you can have a pair. The tsuka has authentic and high quality ray skin (same). The saya is made of a deep black lacquer with gold dragonflies on it. There are no blades like these forged in Japan, which bans such things.
